re: http://www.sonicdigitalvoice.com/
This is starting to looka kinda attractive, esp. the
international presence option. But... I've been hearing for quite
a while about Vonage's deteriorated customer service. Does a
*Sonic* Digital Voice customer enjoy the same advantages in
dealing with Vonage as we DSL customers do when dealing with
SBC/ATT--that is, are we insulated from the idiots, such that we
get _actual_ service from CS?
Oh, and incidentally, how's the voice communication quality? (I
have a 3M DSL).
I'm looking at an e-mail from Sonic from about 1/14/05, where it
describes the following feature:
""Sonic Digital Voice offers a large number of advanced features
which
make it far more interesting than your basic plain old telephone
service line. For example, using simultaneous ring allows a
caller to
ring your home phone which is connected to Sonic Digital Voice
while
your other phone (ex. cellular phone!) will ring at the same
time! You
can then answer either one, meaning you don't miss calls while
you're
out, but you also don't use up cellular minutes while you are at
home!
Your callers can just use a single number to reach you, and they
don't
have to try multiple numbers to find you.""
but I don't see it described at
http://www.sonicdigitalvoice.com/ Is it still avaiable?
Hoping to get an answer from Sonic here, but I'll take anyone's
experience. Thanks.
